Curbside Recycling Program:
The City of Hopkinsville began offering a voluntary recycling program in February 2019. Residents who opt in to the program will receive a second "herbie curbie" to collect newspaper, plastic, aluminum, etc. The recycling container can then be placed curbside for pick up each Wednesday along with the regular collection service. Cost of the voluntary program is $5.50 per month and will be added to your water utility bill. Hopkinsville Electric Energynet Fiber Optic Internet Service:
You may have seen the construction work going on around the neighborhood for the last couple of months as as they have been working on bringing fiber optic internet service to our area. The new fiber optic service offers three different service speeds.....200MG, 500MG, or 1GB. Cost of the service begins at $59.95 per month but depends upon the service speed you choose. Hopkinsville becomes one of only a few cities in the country where this high speed service is currently available.
